Chapters 29-37 and Epilogue Summary

In Chapter 29, on Sunday, Brian goes to Sarah's apartment and begs her to stop Miles from doing anything stupid to Otis and to stop pushing the case. Then Brian admits to the reader that he is the one who hit Missy.

In Chapter 30, Sarah questions Brian over and over about Missy's death.

In Chapter 31, Charlie goes to Miles and asks for his case file on Missy's death and his guns. Charlie admits he is afraid Miles might do something stupid to Otis and he is doing this for his own protection. Later, while Sarah is struggling with Brian's confession, Miles comes to see her. When Sarah pushes Miles to let up on Otis, he becomes angry and leaves.

In Chapter 32, the next morning, Sarah convinces Brian he must tell Miles the truth. Together they go to Miles'...
