Summary

Darcy eavesdrops on Tom and Jamie discussing other aspects of the house before she walks in. Jamie leaves them alone for a moment, and Darcy attempts to tell Tom that she loves him to avoid making the mistake made so many years ago. He tells her simply that he knows. When Jamie comes back, he tells Darcy that he thinks they should turn the dining room into a third bedroom. To his surprise, she agrees easily. She goes back to her job of removing tiles in the kitchen, but Jamie snatches the crowbar out of her hands. He reveals to Tom that one of the other crew workers told him about a day when Darcy almost passed out in the bathroom from a lack of food. Tom grows angry that she didn’t tell him, and he asks her to move to another...
