law of kinetics mean that energy from the mobile electrons are lost as heat, or current ,while the stationary neutrons which basically consists of positrons in a shell gets energized and become mobile.Since the positrons within the nucleon is positively charged while the oncoming electrons are negatively charged, the dispersion will be electromagnetic in nature and not elastic.
