Sero-therapy is the use of synthetic serum in vials to treat disease. Often the response could vary from 24 to 72 hrs.Sero-therapy involves repeated doses as the symptoms and signs of the disease abate.

Vaccinations are given in a single dose of an attenuated organism, which is injected or given to the patient to stimulate his own body to produce the serum antibodies against the disease that is being vaccinated against. Vaccinations are preventive, whereas, sero-therapy is therapeutic.
