What is the difference between boiling and evaporation of a liquid?

Most mistakenly believe that these processes are one in the same, but there is quite a lot going on that makes them different from one another. Evaporation happens on the surface of a liquid and can happen at ANY temperature (albeit it happens faster when the liquid is heated). Boiling is VERY contingent on the temperature and it occurs throughout the entire liquid (not just the surface).
