What is the difference between Karyotyping and pedigree typing?

The difference betwen Karyotyping and pedigree typing is that karyotyping looks at the chromosomes present to pick out chromosomal abnormalities while pedigrees look at all of the genetic risks that a family runs through the generations and who are carriers and who are not.
