Is Janie the same type of woman when she with Joe and Tea Cake?

Janie relationship with the two men is completely different. Joe saves her from a bad marriage, but Janie doesn't get what she bargained for. She thought their marriage would be an escape.... an adventure, but it wasn't, and it became just another role that she wished to escape from.
