We are all born with natural talents and abilities but they are developed through experience and training. I work with profoundly deaf/autistic children that have mild to moderate retardation. Each child has had intrinsic abilities but, due to their handicaps and the fact that no one had tried to help these children develop their potentials, none of them showed any talent or flair for anything. Each of the children I have worked with has, within 1 year, had a dramatic increase in their IQ scores. The talents, and abilities were already there but it took training, and experience for these abilities to manifest.
