Are you sure this question is correct? When you start to work it out you get x squared -12-7=0 THis is not factorable.
x(x-5)=7(x+1)
1. distributive property:
2x2 - 5x = 7x + 7
2. combine like terms
2x2 = 2x +7
3. move the equation to the left of the =
2x2 + 2x + 7
