 2z + 4 = 3z^2

 2z + 4-3z^2 = 3z^2-3z^2

-3z^2+2z+4=0

(-3z  )(z  )      (  +2)(   +4)

(-3z+2)(z+4)=0

Solve:

(-3z+2)=0

-3z+2-2=0-2

-3z=-2

-3z/-3=-2/-3

z=2/3

Solve:

(z+4)=0

z+4-4=0-4

z=-4
