First factor out the monomials

7x^2y^3  7*x*x     *2*y*y*y

5x^3y^4     x*x*x       y*y*y*y*5*3

                  x*x          y*y*y

the GCF are is the products of the shared columns of factors

=x*x*y*y*y

=x^2y^3
