-20s - 3 = 25s^2 + 1

-20s+20s-3=25s2+1+20s

-3=25s2+20s+1

-3+3=25s2+20s+1+3

0=25s2+20s+4

Factor:

0=25s2 +20s +4

0= (5s )(5s ) ( 2)( 2)

0=(5s+2)(5s+2)=(5s+2)2

Check:

0=(5x+2)(5x+2)

0=(5x)(5x) (5x)(2) (2)(5x) (2)(2)

0= 5x2 10x 10x 4

0=5x2+20x+4

Simplify:

(5s+2)=0

Solve:

(5s+2)=0

5s+2-2=0-2

5s=-2

s=-2/5
