1x^2 + 1x - 72 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -8)( +9)=0

(x-8) (x+9) = 0

Solve:

(x-8)=0

x-8+8=0+8

x=8

Solve:

(x+9) = 0

x+9-9 = 0-9

x=-9
