Pontiac's Rebellion took place after the French and Indian War. In the rebellion, Pontiac led a group of American Indians against the British at Fort Detroit and eventually into Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. The rebellion was initiated because of the threat of colonist settlement of Indian lands. The rebellion was effectively put down in 1764.
