“In My War Gone By, I Miss It So, Anthony Loyd is a trustworthy witness to the conflict in Bosnia, because he’s not from there and thus he’s unbiased.” Agree and/or disagree with this claim and explain why.

I would like to know what side or even both have in favor of each other. To understand what the question means and for me to get a better understanding.

I haven't read this book, but in reading through many reviews, I get the impression that Lloyd attempts to be objective. Because Lloyd in not part of the war, he immerses himself in the story. He discusses the way the war pits neighbor against neighbor, and yet, how time when cease fires were ordered, neighbors became neighbors again. From what I've read, he doesn't favor a side, and his personal experiences add interesting contrasts to the text.

I wish I could help you more... I may have to pick up a copy and read it for myself.
