The president's salary is set by Congress, and under Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution. It may not be reduced or increased during his or her current term of office.

The salary for the 43rd President was $400,000 dollars per year. He was also given up to $50,000 for expenses, $100,000 for travel, and $20,000 for entertainment.
