FIFTH AMENDMENT - What are the situations that a person might find themselves in more than one trial, but is NOT considered double jeopardy?

If prosecutors take certain actions before jeopardy begins, such as dismissing the indictment, nothing will prevent them from later trying the same person for the same offense.

Civil suits can be filed against an accused, who has been acquitted in criminal court. Example, O.J. Simpson.
