Tom Mackenson is Cory's father. He witnessed a car driving into Saxon's Lake early one morning and dove into the water to save the driver. What he saw that day will haunt him for a long time. The man in the car was beaten badly, and he had a piano wire around his throat. He was handcuffed to the steering wheel. What he saw will cause Tom to have nightmares for months.
