Who is Theodore Roosevelt from Eleanor Roosevelt: A Life of Discovery and what is their importance?

Theodore Roosevelt (Teddy) was Eleanor's uncle. He was also Franklin's cousin. Theodore was Vice President when President McKinley was assassinated, after which he was sworn is as the 26th President of the United States. Teddy stood in for Eleanor's late father and gave her away at her wedding.
