Who is The Olsons from Andrew Wyeth: Autobiography and what is their importance?

The Olsons were good friends of the both Wyeth and Betsy. They owned a farm in Cushing, Maine, which served as a subject of many of Wyeth's paintings. Christina Olson, who suffered from an unidentified muscular disease, became one of Wyeth's most beloved subjects.
