Robert Southey is a writer of Coleridge's time. He is a literary friend of Coleridge. Southey wrote poems with Robert Lovell. They used the names Bion and Moschos. Coleridge felt the works were whimsical and exhibited the mistakes and immaturity to be expected in young writers. Even though Coleridge considered these to be flaws and defects, Southey preferred this style. Southey preferred a humble style of poetry. Coleridge feels that some day all of Southey's works will be gathered and published together. Some one will decide to be his biographer and readers will be happy with this approach.
