Who is Octavian from Cicero: The Life and Times of Rome's Greatest Politician and what is their importance?

Octavian was Caesar's heir. Cicero used Octavian against his enemies in order to restore order to the Roman republic. Octavian, much to Cicero's chagrin, defected to the other side.
