Manuel Garza is Eli Glinn's right-hand man. Garza is the only survivor of the disaster that took Glinn's entire platoon while he was in the military. Now Garza works for EES, helping Glinn with whatever he needs, including working to brace the meteorite in the hold of the Rolvaag even after the meteorite emitted a powerful electric pulse that killed all his men and left him mortally wounded. Garza is a strong, determined man who does all he can for Glinn, but in the end he chooses to save himself and his men despite the fact that this goes in direct opposition to Glinn's desires.
