Goolab Singh is an older man, who was once in competition for the throne of Punjab. He currently rules the region of Kashmir. He is a fearsome warrior, despite his advanced age. He is also a shrewd politician. Goolab claims to be on the side of the Khalsa, and he even sends them supplies, but he is really on the side of the British, hoping that once they defeat the Khalsa he will be given control of Kashmir.
