Cujo is the loving, loyal dog that belongs to Brett Camber. Cujo is a large dog, a Saint Bernard that weighs more than two hundred pounds. However, Cujo is so gentle that he once would run around the Camber farm with Brett riding behind him and little three-year-old Tad Trenton on his back. Cujo wants to protect his family and would willingly die for them. However, while chasing a rabbit one day, Cujo finds a small natural cave that the Cambers do not even know is on their property. Inside the cave are bats. While Cujo is attempting to get into the cave to catch the rabbit, one of the bats bites him.
