Cardinal Patrick Henry Roark is a member of the most prominent and powerful family in Sin City. His family founded the city and saved it from disappearing by establishing the illicit prostitution that pervades Old Town. Roark is known as a philanthropist and a war hero, and according to his reputation, he could have become president. However, Roark chose to join the Church and became a cardinal. He's commonly known as "Saint Patrick." A huge statue of Roark stands in Sin City, representing Roark's power in the town. Roark maintains political power, doing favors for politicians and making or breaking them, and he lives in a fortress guarded by armed men.
