Renown beauty, Anna Hall Roosevelt, was Eleanor's glamorous mother. Sadly, her beauty and appearance were such a huge part of her life that she was left little time for Eleanor, who always know that she didn't and couldn't live up to her mother's standards. Anna Roosevelt died at the age of twenty-nine from diphtheria.
