What were the criticisms of Dr. King by Mr. Baldwin and to what extent do you agree or disagree?

One criticism Baldwin has is the fact that in his eyes, the Civil Right and Voting Rights Acts, benefitted whites, who wanted the accolades, but who refused to commit to real change. Baldwin believed that history was simply being remade to promote the lie.
