What are chapters one and two about in "African Soccerscapes" ?

The first chapter talks about the introduction of soccer to the African continent by the whites and how it was adopted by the African people for their own reasons and on their own terms. It shows the expansion of colonialism using sports (football) as one of the key components.

Chapter two expounds on this idea to show how it might have been colonialism that introduced the sport, but it was African competitiveness that made it thrive. Forming clubs and organizations it grew from an inposed activity to an activity that was embraced and used as a social and cultural extension of their own culture. The incorporation of healers, magicians, different playing styles, etc... began to change the face of 'soccer' forever.
