Ode to the west wind In line 14, Shelley calls the wind a "destroyer" and "preserver". Explain this paradoxical relationship.

This is meant to be a direct symbol of his writer's gift, his creativity, so to speak. Like the wind, his creative mind can be both destroyer and preserver. To fully live is to accept both as they are.
