In Chapter 5 of the book "Almost American Girl" by Robin Ha, does Robin's 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Lee help or hurt Robin or both? (Why/how?) How does she change or influence Robin to act differently?

Mrs. Lee is the mean teacher? so how does she influence robin to act differently/change???

In Chapter Five, we learn that Mrs. Lee, Robin's third grade teacher, often singled her out from the other students, mistreated her, and punished her. As a result, Robin worked harder, but Mrs. Lee's cruelty affected her emotionally. Eventually, Robin opened up and told her mother what was happening.
