What is the author's style in Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind?

The point of view of Wizard's First Rule is third person omniscient, which gives the story a fairy-tale like quality often found in fantasy novels. This point of view allows the reader access to many character's inner thoughts, including Richard, Kahlan, Zedd, Rachel, the wizard Giller, Demmin Nass and Darken Rahl.
