Connie is depicted as a typical, fifteen year old girl. She concerned with appearance, spends an inordinate amount of tie daydreaming, and like many teenage girls..... decides her mother knows nothing (few girls get through that age without "hating" their mothers). Unfortunately, Connie also has a lot of freedom. All of these things combined are important to the events that follow. Boy crazy, she indulges in fantasies, something that will lead her to be decieved, and even deceive herself later.......
