Fames economist, Myron Scholes, is the son of an Ontario dentist. When he finished college, he worked at the University of Chicago as a computer programmer. Scholes developed the Black-Scholes Model with Fischer Black, a model that determines the economically correct price of a stock. He was hired by Meriwether to work at Long-Term, where his strengths were utilized in testing models. He, along with Merton, won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1996.
