Ọrunmila mask

Ahmed's Ọrunmila mask is a symbol of wisdom. This mask hangs on the wall of Ahmed's apartment and he looks at it while attempting to decide if he should print the interview with Sandayo, which accuses powerful members of the government of corruption. Ọrunmila is the god of wisdom to Ahmed's ancestors, the Yoruba people. Ahmed believes firmly in the dissemination of wisdom and knowledge, and this is why he became a journalist. After looking at the mask, he decides to publish the interview in order to inform the Nigerian people.
