How does Alan Moore use imagery in Watchmen?

The imagery can get pretty violent depending on the superhero. Rorschach in particular unleashes his frustrations through graphic violence. The colors and the superhero costumes are vivid. Remember this is a graphic novel so the art tells the narrative as much as the words.
