What are Newbloods?

Newbloods represent change and a chance for equality. All Newbloods - also known as Ardents in Montfort - are Reds with Silver powers. They prove that Silvers and Reds are not as different as both sides believe. Many Newbloods have powers that are completely different than Silvers, such as teleporters. Many Silvers consider Newbloods to be a lesser form of themselves, and it is the power of the Newbloods that inspire the Reds by proving that they can be just as strong as their rulers.
