Who is Field Marshall v. Runstedt, Runstedt from Lost Victories and what is their importance?

Field Marshall v. Runstedt served as Manstein's commanding officer after the successful Polish campaign. Runstedt was in charge of Army Group A, as the group worked toward attacking the mountainous Ardennes region, in order to take the offensive on the Western front. Manstein held Runstedt in the highest regard.
