Uncommon Type comprises seventeen separate stories, three told by an unnamed male narrator, four told through Hank Fiset’s newspaper column, and the rest from individuals in single stories that do not cross over with any others in the work. Some stories are told from third person perspectives while others are offered from first person point of views, making the stories a tad more personal.
