Two Kinds of Truth is split into 44 chapters, of roughly equal length (around 10 pages each). The novel is also split into three different parts. Part One, "Cappers," includes Chapters 1-21 (pages 1-201). Part Two, "The South Side of Nowhere," includes Chapters 22-35 (205-330). Part Three, "The Intervention," includes Chapters 36-44 (pages 333-402). Part One introduces both of the major cases that take up the novel. Part Two encapsulates Bosch's undercover journey into the pill mill operation, plus the immediate aftermath. In Part Three, Bosch and Haller defend themselves in court as the Preston Borders case is re-opened.
