Sarah Carrier, Heretic's Daughter, is the main narrator of the story. She is 10 years old and tells the story from her perspective. She is very much her mother's daughter with a strong sense of right and wrong and of justice. When her mother is accused of being a witch, Sarah reports what happens with clarity of vision.
