At the end of the book, how would you describe Colman's relationship with his mother Millie?

At the end of the book, Colman has arranged to meet with Millie after telling Sophie Stones he cannot go through with the tell-all book about Joss Moody, his father. Colman appears to want to meet Millie to talk with her and try to make amends for his previous betrayal.
