Who is Richard Lucas from Total Control and what is their importance?

Richard Lucas is the director of internal security for Triton, Lucas appears to operate primarily as Gamble's personal bodyguard. In fact, he is a pawn of Quentin Rose, whose intention is to get rid of Gamble as soon as the CyberCom deal is finalized. In the end, Lucas is poised to kill Gamble at Rowe's direction, but, in the end, is killed by Sawyer's team.
