Who is Ray Jackson from Total Control and what is their importance?

Partnered with Lee Sawyer, Jackson is the concrete, realistic member of the team, anxious to take evidence at face value and to solve cases quickly. He is an excellent investigator but does not tent to think "outside the box," as partner Sawyer does. Jackson is a good balance for Sawyer, as well as a thorough, diligent collector of fact and detail.
