Homer is one of the original seven, and he is known among his friends as a clown. Homer and Ellie grew up together, and Ellie even refers to him as her "brother". In school, Homer developed a reputation for being a tease and making fun of himself. He taunted the girls at school into making rude comments about him, and then put on a front that indicated that it didn't hurt his feelings. Over the course of the story, Homer takes on the role of leader.
