Why is Scout less than pleased when Jem tells her about Dill?

In Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockngbird, Scout is upset with Jem when he tells Atticus about Dill running away from home because it breaks the kid code. This shows Scout that Jem is growing up and is beginning to seperate himself from her.
