Who is Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird?

Atticus Finch is the narrator's (Scout Finch) father. He is a father, lawyer, and highly respected citizen in Maycomb. He also has high moral values and distinct ideas about right and wrong. Atticus is an optimist and believes that even if he can't change things... he can initiate the changes.
