What does Alexandra say about other families

Aunt Alexandra bases her judgment of families on her own perception of what makes "fine folks". The longer they've been settled in an area.... the finer they are. She also says that family traits are passed down from one generation to the next, meaning one bad apple does spoil the entire barrel.
