To Kill a Mockingbird

What are Jem and Scouts views of their father in To Kill a Mockingbird?

How does this change from the beginning of the book to the end?

They think of him as a Negro lover, since he does defend one of the cases of a Negro. They also see him as the best shooter because he shot a mad dog. They do love him and respect him though.
