to an extent his goals were achived, he wanted to make a chage in the opinion of the people in maycomb towards black people and some, (the ones that took acknowledgement to atticus words) had a little bigger horizon on thier`previous prejudices but honor was very controversal. It depends if you were a white person or a black person at the time
